Ahmed Tijjani Abdullahi: An Epitome Of Progress And Development

Malam Ahmed Tijjani Abdullahi, a retired permanent secretary with the Kano State Government, has significantly contributed to the progress and development of Nigeria, both in education and community services. Hailing from Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, he has earned a reputation for his dedication, technical expertise, and strong commitment to enhancing societal well-being.

Malam Ahmed Tijjani Abdullahi began his educational journey at Dawakin Tofa Central Primary School from 1975 to 1980, before attending GSS Dawakin Tofa from 1980 to 1985. He later enrolled in the Advanced Teachers College/ABU Kano before furthering his studies at the University of Abuja from 1991 to 1995. He continued his academic growth at Bayero University Kano from 2018 to 2019, and is currently pursuing his M.Ed in Education (Specialization in Guidance and Counselling).

With a degree in NSC(Ed) Mathematics, Abdullahi has participated in both domestic and international training programs, equipping him with the technical knowledge necessary to excel in education and administration. He has worked in various educational institutions, including the Government Girls Arabic Secondary School in Danzabuwa, Army Day Secondary School Abuja, and the Bank of the North in Talata Mafara, Zamfara. His friendly demeanor and dedication to his work earned him respect from both junior and senior colleagues, which contributed to his successful career.

Malam Ahmed Tijjani Abdullahi became more widely recognized for his role as the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Science and Technical Schools Board, where he transformed the board into an exemplary workplace. He later ascended to the position of Permanent Secretary in the Kano State Ministry of Education, where he implemented policies that positively impacted the education sector and administrative practices.

Beyond his career in education, Abdullahi has been deeply involved in community service. He has supported less privileged individuals, particularly those living with disabilities, and is a patron of many committees. His political charisma continues to grow as he remains dedicated to improving the lives of all citizens, irrespective of their status.

His leadership at the Kano State Science and Technical Schools Board has been marked by a strong focus on policy improvement, monitoring and evaluation, infrastructure development, and the welfare of students and staff. Abdullahi’s strategic focus on enhancing the teaching and learning environment, alongside promoting extracurricular activities, has had a lasting impact on the schools under his management.

Given his exemplary contributions to the education sector, governance, and community development, Malam Ahmed Tijjani Abdullahi deserves recognition and support to further his efforts. His relentless dedication and wealth of experience provide a strong foundation for continued contributions toward building a greater and more prosperous nation.
