A’Ibom begins EAP with 400 entrepreneur

The pledge by Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom to place premium on entrepreneurship development has received a boost with the kick-off of the Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme (EAP) with 400 young entrepreneurs.
The Governor had earlier promised to sponsor, train and empower the 400 registered vendors who attended the maiden Made-In-Akwa Ibom Trade Fair recently.
At the take off of the training in Uyo,team leader Mr Imo-Abasi Jacob tasked participants to be committed to the programme and urged them to utilize the opportunity to expand their business and entrepreneurship capacity.
The introductory sessions which was undertaken by Jacob took off smoothly with eager faces, brimming with anticipation and resounding excitement.
It ended with an evening of Cocktail, where the participants and faculty mixed, mingled, connected to their new beginnings which the Programme signified as well as the Arise Agenda.
The EAP is designed to support and nuture entrepreneurs with the aim of promoting economic growth, job creation and sustainable development.
The programme is open to both existing and aspiring entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas and provides them with the necessary training,mentoring and funding to transform their ideas into successful businesses.
