Amgbare Dennis Yenagoa

A former freedom fighter in the Niger Delta region, Prince Layefa Tiokumoh has called on the people’s democratic party to do well in taking Henry Seriake Dickson as Atiku Abubarka’s running mate if Nyesom Wike of Rivers state does not want to accept the vice presidential slot.

The former second in command to Asari Dokubo western zone during his days in the struggle said that Dickson has the energy, the tenacity and the spread to gather all the Ijaws and the Niger Delta people together.

Three lions of Niger Delta who spoke to journalists on Monday in Yenagoa said that Dickson was the only man that gather the ex -agitators together and they will listen to him.

Three lions who is the founder of three lion’s foundation from Arogbo in Ondo state maintained that Dickson has uniting force adding that he can called on all to support him.

Tiokumoh said “If PDP takes Dickson as vice president the party will win the 2023 presidential election. If they pick Dickson that popularity will make PDP to win because he has capacity to go round all the states in Nigeria. He is a young man and his capable to work with Atiku and make people that hate Atiku to come back to PDP and work.

”Dickson is a very capable person that can develop the Niger Delta. He has the integrity. He has the mind to develop the Niger Delta. He has the Ijaw struggle at heart.

“Although Wike has the chance to take it because he came second in the primaries but if he refuses to take the position, let PDP in the south south give it to Dickson. He can deliver the region for Atiku and bring development to even East and everywhere.

“In the Niger Delta region, we don’t want Okowa. If Wike doesn’t take it, let Dickson take it. He can bring peace in our territory between the Ijaws and the Igbos.

“Dickson I intelligent enough to do that. He was a police officer and a lawyer, in national assembly before he became governor. He has a lot of experience. He has relationship with Yoruba from Ondo state so he can manage the two tribes and other tribes.

“We still have some problems in the Niger Delta. There are still oil looters and some camps but if Dickson becomes vice president, all those problems will be solved. Even though the militant leaders are everywhere but they will support him to bring peace in the Niger Delta.

“He can bring all the militant leaders together and bring peace to the Niger Delta because he knows them. He knows their community. He knows everybody.
