Arsenal Contemplate January Move for RB Leipzig’s Sesko

By  Milcah  Tanimu

Arsenal is reportedly considering a January move for RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko as they seek to bolster their attacking options. The Gunners, currently leading the Premier League table, are in the market for a striker to enhance their title charge.

While Ivan Toney has been a rumored target, Sesko has emerged as another potential option. The 20-year-old Slovenian forward recently joined RB Leipzig from RB Salzburg in August, signing a five-year deal. However, Sesko has faced limited playing time under manager Marco Rose, primarily due to the impact of fellow summer signing Lois Openda.

Despite being a substitute in recent matches, Sesko has managed to score six goals in 577 minutes of play across all competitions. This goal tally is equal to Arsenal’s joint-top scorers, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard.

The report suggests that Sesko’s name has been mentioned in discussions among Arsenal’s club chiefs. The Gunners are actively looking to strengthen their squad for the challenges ahead, and Sesko’s goal-scoring ability has caught their attention.

In the ongoing transfer market speculations, it’s noted that Chelsea is set to reject Fulham’s interest in 22-year-old striker Armando Broja. Additionally, Tottenham is reportedly seeking a loan deal for former Celtic winger Jota from Al-Ittihad, and Arsenal is open to allowing goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale to leave the club at the end of the season.
