I wouldn’t have turned out the way I did if my father was alive -Kunle Afolayan
Movie producer, Kunle Afolayan has said that his father would have influenced his career path away from what he’s doing now that has earned him success.
In an Instagram post, Kunle Afolayan said he was forced to admit such after his children raised a question concerning his father.
He also advised people to ensure they deal with situations involving their parents in a wise manner.
“My response to them was that, yes, I miss my father so much but the honest truth is I wouldn’t have turned out the way I did if he was alive. They asked why and I said because he would have influenced my journey and I would have done and handled things differently. I could have turned out better or worst, I could have become a rebel or even choose a completely different career. I am a product of hard work and self-sufficient but I probably would never have ventured into the world of filmmaking of I wasn’t brought the world by and through him.
“My point is if your parents do things and go all out for you, do appreciate and value their efforts while they are here.
You will also meet some people along the way in the course of your journey, every contact with another human, animals, plants and nature is meant to help get you to the next phase of your journey in life. Some will bring positivity and some will bring negativity. Just be wise enough to know and deal with either accordingly.

Our gods have been demonized – Oluwo of Iwo raises alarm
Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo has spoken against the way the gods in Africa have been demonized by the people.
In a social media post, the Oluwo of Iwo stated that that is why the gods are not found to be appealing to the people.
He also spoke in favour of upgrading the gods to make them appear appealing just like the Christian God.
He wrote: “BLACK MAN STILL IN IGNORANCE !!!!
The white people came up with a smart and wise idea.. they jettisoned the old God in the “Old Testament” and makes Him part of their history cos that God in the latter kills and committed so many atrocities and then came up with a new God which is in the “New Testament ” that the Christians of today preach ( A God that makes you prosper with riches, merciful and all goodies of life etc) never did anything wicked even though he asks for burnt offerings, Son of Abraham to be sacrificed, plagues the land, told King Saul to kill everyone in Amalek all male, female and even suckling infants ( sarcastic) !! But the Black Man refuses to upgrade and update theirs over 2000 years after the white man did…

Belinda Effah talks about not being beautiful, tall enough
Nollywood actress Belinda Effah has issued a word of advice to people who think whatever they have is not adequate enough to give them confidence in life.
In a children’s day post, Belinda Effah stated that people are often the reason why they are viewed in a certain way.
She also advised against allowing excuses to tie one down and away from chasing certain things in life.

Cynthia Morgan pens touching open letter, says she was younger and has made mistakes
Dance hall singer, Cynthia Morgan, also known as Madrina has poured out her heart in an open letter.
This is coming after the brouhaha between she, her former record label and her former manager hit the net.
In the touching open letter, Cynthia agreed that she was young and that she erred.
She wrote:
“I, Cynthia Morgan, would like to use this platform to appreciate all the love, well wishes and support from everyone showing love to me, my health and my well being.
A huge appreciation to Upfront With Sandra whose platform my story was told.
Appreciation goes out to Davido for reaching out and other brands who reached out.
A lot has happened in the past. I erred, other parties involved had their fair share of blame, but we all make mistakes. I was younger and new in the industry and in retrospect, some things could have been done differently instead of left unresolved.
However in telling my story, I have not lied but only shared my story as it happened from my own point of view.
Also i allowed the hurt & pain from past dealings take over my emotions but moving on,
I appreciate everyone clamoring for my return both online and offline. I’m also asking Cynthia Morgan fans all over the world for understanding and patience on the new journey we are about to embark on.
I won’t take this new opportunity for granted.

Simi and Adekunle Gold reportedly welcome baby in the US
According to reports making the rounds online, Nigerian singer, Simisola Ogunleye popularly known as Simi and her singer husband, Adekunle Gold have reportedly welcomed their first child in the United States of America.
The report was first published by blogger, SDK on her blog. SDK alleged that the duo welcomed their baby before Simi released her “Duduke” video.
Simi and Adekunle Gold reportedly arrived the US long before the coronavirus pandemic.

Mercy Johnson welcomed a baby girl at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Texas on the 4th of May, 2020 and she has been christened Divine-Mercy Ehinomen Okojie.
Mercy’s husband, Prince Okojie broke the good News moments ago sharing photos of Mercy with her hands lifted to God in appreciation with tears of joy while on the hospital bed.

Nigeria records 276 new COVID-19 cases, total now 8,344
Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 276 new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in the country, bringing the total to 8,344.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on its official twitter handle, said that as at May 26, 16 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
It explained that most of the fatalities recorded from COVID-19 were cases with other underlying illnesses known as co-morbidities.
The health agency in its breakdown of the latest results, said Lagos reported 161 of the new cases.
Other states with new cases include Rivers with 36, Edo – 27, Kaduna – 19, Nasarawa – 10, and Oyo – six.
There were also four new cases found in Kano, three each in Delta and Ebonyi, two in Gombe and one each in Ogun, Ondo, Borno, Abia, and Bauchi.
The number of discharged cases rose from 2,311 on Monday to 2,385.
However, 16 more deaths were recorded, taking the nation’s fatality to 249.
The NCDC noted that no new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
The agency said that as at May 26, 8,344 cases have been confirmed, 5710 Active Cases, 2385 cases have been discharged and 249 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The health agency announced the activation of two new laboratories for inclusion in the NCDC Molecular Laboratory Network.
“Afriglobal Medicare Laboratory in Ogun state and the Sahel Centre for Molecular Diagnostics and Research, Katsina state.

Fast rising actress reveals men use and dump actresses because of their fakeness
Fast growing Yoruba actress, Oluwatayo Jane Ogunshakin has talked about some of the biggest challenges actresses face.
According to her, these challenges force several actresses, especially among the Yoruba movie genre to remain unmarried even at the age of 40.
The Ekiti born script revealed this to newsman, Gbolahan Adetayo, who asked about her views on actresses who are single, yet beautiful.
In her response, Jane revealed that, they are fake, that is why men use and dump them. She said;
“May God help us. There are several reasons 99% of Nollywood actresses will be single forever. Number one, we are too fake. Many of my colleagues lives fake life styles, trying to claim what they are not. Believe me or not, serious men actually identify a genuine woman when they see one.
If you are too fake, they will just use and dump you. Another reason is that, many of them are not contented with what they have and that is why you see them traveling abroad to enlarge their boobs and boots, not knowing that they are still going to suffer it in future. Let them go and ask the women with real big Ass what they are facing in their old age.
The load at the back side will be too heavy for the bones of their legs to carry and arthritis set in, then they starts walking like Camel. Another factor contributing to Nollywood actresses not to have a husband or keep a serious relationship is that, many of us have refused to be called black woman again, they have washed away their real colours through series of bleaching and whitening creams.
The way some of them smell self is nothing to write home about. With all these facts I have listed above, do you think a serious man will stay with you? Or you think they don’t know what they actually want? Let’s even look at it from the spiritual angle.
