Ayra Starr Joins Tems on Stage for Surprise Performance in New York

Nigerian music sensations Ayra Starr and Tems electrified fans with a surprise performance in New York during the New York leg of Tems’ ‘Born In The Wild’ tour. The unexpected collaboration showcased their strong friendship and mutual support.

Tems, who is currently on tour promoting her debut album, was joined by Ayra Starr, creating a memorable moment for the audience. This surprise duet added to the excitement of Tems’ show, which also featured a special guest appearance by Grammy-winning artist John Legend. Together, Tems and Legend delighted the crowd with a performance of his hit single, ‘Ordinary People.’

While Tems and Ayra Starr have yet to release a collaborative track, anticipation is high among fans, including Rihanna, who has expressed interest in joining them on a future project. Both artists have made significant strides in their careers, with Tems winning a Grammy for her role in Future’s ‘Wait For U’ and Ayra Starr receiving a nomination for Best African Song Performance at the Grammys.

Their recent releases—Tems’ debut album ‘Born In The Wild’ and Ayra Starr’s ‘The Year I Turned 21’—continue to garner global acclaim, solidifying their positions as leading figures in the Afrobeats genre.
