The current devastating acts of banditry in the Sokoto East Senatorial District, especially Goronyo Local Government Area are indeed becoming worrisome, as bandits ravage almost all our communities day in day out, declared Shehu Muhammad Goronyo who is currently the Director Mobilization with Rima Television, Sokoto.
He said killings and kidnapping of “our people within the local government and its environs have became a gold mine for criminals.
” This alarming situation is indeed something to be terrified about,. It’s on this note that I’m appealing to everyone concerned to take a decisive proactive measure to address this barbaric devilish activities carried out by these heartless gunmen.”
He therefore urged the Muslim Ummah to intensify prayers for the intervention to Supreme Creator to bring an end to this incessant killings of innocent souls and urged Governments at all levels sustain strong security in order to counter the situation before it goes far beyond control.
He then prayed Allah ( SWA) protect us and give us ability and wisdom to worship Him diligently
