Chairman NANNM escapes kidnappers

The Chairman Kaduna State Council of National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) Com. Ishaku Yakubu has narrowly escaped kidnappers.

His vehicle was reportedly attacked on his way from Abuja to Kaduna by the kidnappers around Rido area of Kaduna state.

According to the Secretary of NANNM Kaduna State Council, Comrade Christiana John Bawa who disclosed the information explained that bullets from the bandits also hits the passengers front seat.

She said the Chairman escaped from the attacked safely and unhurt and therefore thanked God almighty for saving his life.

Similarly, heavily armed bandits have reportedly killed two persons and kidnapped eight others in fresh attacked in Maraba rido, Chikun LGA of Kaduna state.

Reports from local said the bandits stormed the community on Tuesday night and abducted eight after sporadic shooting and killing of two others.

Maraba rido, a large community located after Sabon Tasha, has a long history of bandits attacked and abduction.
Our correspondent who was in the area gathered that the community was deserted immediately information reached some quarters of the presence of the Bandits.

Contacted, the Kaduna state police command spokesman Mohammed Jalige could not respond as the time of filing this repprt.
