Benue Police Command Arrest Criminal Gang, Gun Manufacturers, Others

The Benue State Police Command, have arrested and paraded the armed robbers terrorizing the Makurdi-Naka road, killing and rubbing unsuspecting motorists, passengers of their luggages including cash.
Briefing Journalists during his maiden press briefing, the Commissioner of Police, Benue State Police Command, CP Emmanuel Adesina, hinted that “following reports of robbery attacks on Makurdi-Naka road, Police teams were emplaced to investigate and arrest suspects.
“On 6/2/2024 about 1915hrs,Police trailed and arrested the following gang members. Oryina Kumshi ‘M’, Terzungwe ‘M’ and Philip Tyohie in a hideout at Adeke.” He said the suspects have agreed to have been involved in four robbery operations along Makurdi-Naka road and neighboring communities that led to lost of a live and properties.
According to the  Commissioner of Police, a knife and three live ammunition were recovered from them, stressing that investigation is still ongoing.
Relatedly, the Police have apprehended suspects, Precious Ebuka Chwukwu of Onitsha, Anambra,  Tyav Wuese ‘M’ and Tyav Terkuma ‘M’, blacksmiths of Adikpo, Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State, who specialize in fabrication of guns.
“Following information gathered about arm deals going at Agu, Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State, Police detectives were deployed to gather intelligence and arrest suspects involved.On the spot search conducted on the suspects led to the recovery of three locally made Beretta pistols. Suspects will soon be charged to court.”
