Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, CP Emenari Efeanyi, has deployed Tactical Commanders to troubled areas in the state with a charge to restrategize and confront security challenges bedeviling communities.
The Police boss who gave this directive during an emergency meeting with Police Senior Officers, Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and Divisional Police Officers at the Police Officer’s Mess, Makurdi, implored the deployed commanders to collaborate with other quasi security operatives within their AOR.
In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Sewuese Anene, the Commissioner of Police, emphasized the need for community policing which according to him is a policing style that puts all hands on deck.
CP Ifeanyi, reiterated zero tolerance for corruption and all forms of unprofessional conduct that can give the Nigeria Police Force a bad name. He promised to reward Police Officers that are very professional in carrying out their duties as a way of motivation and encouragement.
The Commissioner of Police, restated his willingness to collaborate with all security agencies, quasi security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and everyone who is interested in securing the state.
