Sen. Wamakko Symphatises With Families of Victims of boat mishap

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has Monday morning sympathized with the families of the victims of the boat mishap which resulted in the death of some people at Dundaye Village of Wamakko local government area of Sokoto state.

Senator Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District, was shocked upon hearing the news of the boat’s Mishap, saying the incident was tragic but, believed that it was the will of God.

Senator Wamakko, while commiserating with the families of the deceased persons, called on the people around the area to take extra caution while crossing the river in canoes, especially now that the river is overflowing.

In a statement issued to newsmen by the Media aide to Senator Wamakko, Bashar Abubakar, the Senator prayed Allah to forgive the sins of the deceased and also prayed for the speedy recovery of the surviving ones.

It could be recalled that a canoe loaded with people en route to their farms on Sunday morning, capsized while in the middle of the river, which, resulted in the death of an unspecified number of people while several others were rescued by the swimmers in the area.
