Borno Deputy Governor Charges Muslims To Intensify Prayers For Peace And Stability As They Commence Ramadan Fast

The Deputy Governor of Borno state, Umar Usman Kadafur, has charged the Muslim Ummah to intensify prayers on the need for peace and stability in the country and world-over as they commence the Ramadan fast

He urged the Muslims to redouble their efforts in prayers and read the Holy Qur’an and attend Tafsir lectures, in order to seek God’s blessings and intervention toward over-coming challenges faced in Borno State and Nigeria in general.

Urging them to remember the Internally Displaced Persons, destitutes, widows, orphans and the poor people in their daily prayers , and also to support them with food items, clothes and shelter so as to further strengthen peaceful co-existence .

“Tolerance, forgiveness and the message of peace, unity and harmony should be our priority at this time.’’

And appealed to the people in the state to continue to live in peace and harmony,embrace one another so as to make Borno State regain its lost glory of “home of peace and hopitality”.

On the usual hike in prices of essential food items during ramadan,he appealed to the marketers across the state to cut-down the prices of their foodstuff during the ramadan period so as to enable the less privilege afford the commodities.

He equally urged members of the public to continue to pray for our gallant troops who are in the front line and other security personnel as well as the CJTF for God Almighty to protect them and give them victory over their enemies.
