Breaking; Bandits invade Zaria Poly, kill, kidnap students, staff.

A student was reportedly shot dead unspecified number kidnapped, while some others sustained gunshot injuries following the invasion by bandits of Nuhu Bamali polytechnic, Zaria in Kaduna state.

Eye witness report also said that two academic staff, a wife and two children of a staff were also kidnapped during the bandits invasion Thursday night.


The source however stated that the wife and two children of a staff were released Friday morning.it was also gathered that three unidentified students were among the kidnapped victims.


A statement obtained from reliable sources in the area and from the school management confirmed the kidnap of two Academic Staff of the institution . Wife and two children of a staff were also confirmed to have been kidnapped but were released this morning. Three unidentified students were among the kidnapped victims.


A source who spoke on condition of anonymity revealed that two students were shot by the kidnappers, one of them died this morning while the other is receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.

The Kaduna state police command was yet to respond to the development as at the time of filing this report.
