BREAKING: Governor Makinde Presents Staff of Office to New Alaafin of Oyo

Governor Seyi Makinde has officially presented the Staff of Office to the newly appointed Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade.

The presentation took place on Monday at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Earlier reports indicated that Oba Owoade was scheduled to receive his appointment letter and Staff of Office on Monday, confirming his ascension to the historic throne.

A government source had revealed, “Prince Owoade is in town. He will receive his letter of appointment from the state government tomorrow (Monday) to formally begin his duties as Alaafin.”

Governor Makinde had approved Oba Owoade’s appointment in a statement released on Friday by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Dotun Oyelade.

With this official presentation, Oba Abimbola Owoade now begins his reign as the new Alaafin of Oyo.
