Breaking News: Minors Among Freed #EndBadGovernance Protesters Arrive Aso Villa

A group of 114 #EndBadGovernance protesters, including 30 minors, arrived at the State House Auditorium in Abuja on Monday, following an order for their release by President Bola Tinubu. The protesters reached the premises around 2:00 pm, where they were welcomed by Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented President Tinubu. They are set to be handed over to their respective state governors.

Their release was facilitated by Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, after Justice Obiora Egwatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed the case against them, as requested by the Office of the Attorney-General.

Dignitaries present at the event include Deputy Senate President Jubrin Barau, Chairman of the Committee on Appropriation Abubakar Bichi, Governors of Kaduna, Uba Sani, and Kano, Abba Yusuf, along with Ministers of Education, Tunji Alausa; Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Nentawe Yilwatda; and Environment, Balarabe Lawal.

Additional attendees are the Ministers of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Tanko Sununu, and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (Northwest), Abdullahi Yakasai.
