BREAKING: Prison officer shot dead by uniform men in Kaduna

A Prison Officer has been reportedly shot dead in kaduna state by people in military uniform, our correspondent reports.

The victim, bearing Mr Orbert was reportedly shot dead around Gonin Gora area of Kaduna state on his way from Abuja duty station with a driver in a private car.

Orbert who was on the passenger front seat and a driver of a senior prison officer’s car allegedly died instantly while the driver survived with injures.

The killers, on two motorbikes, who were on Military uniform, according to eye witness, opened fire only on their car from behind at a close range and killed Orbert.

Family sources who confirmed the incident to our reporter in Ungwan Boro in kaduna said they’re still gathering the information, adding the victim was coming to kaduna for weekend in the car when he was shoot dead.

They family also said the driver was in hurry to get to Kaduna and passed the train station in Rigasa to pick his boss who was also coming to Kaduna through the railway.

Efforts to get the Director, Army public relations, Kaduna, proved abortive as he could not respond when contacted on phone for clarification.
