Buhari Moves to Kaduna After Nearly Two Years in Daura

By Abigail Philip David

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has relocated to his residence in Kaduna after spending almost two years in his hometown, Daura, Katsina State.

Buhari, who left office on May 29, 2023, had chosen to retire to Daura, staying away from active politics and focusing on private engagements.

His former media aide, Bashir Ahmad, confirmed the move on social media on Thursday. According to Ahmad, Buhari was accompanied to Kaduna by Vice President Kashim Shettima and several prominent dignitaries, including Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, current and former deputy governors of Katsina State, a former Inspector General of Police, former ministers, and several personal aides.
