The secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha said the Muhammadu Buhari administration is committed and determined to pulling Nigerians out of poverty.

The SGF made the statement while speaking with newsmen at the Yola International Airport on Sunday, July 7.

Daybreak.ng also gathered that Mustapha said institutional structures are being put in place by the current federal government to lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in the next 10 years.

He pointed out that Buhari’s pledge to lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty is one of the boldest statements any president has ever made.

“It is the boldest statement coming from the president. The president has already set the agenda to redeem that pledge by providing institutional framework that will encourage lending to small and medium scale enterprises.” he said.

Mustapha called on Nigerians to key into the plan and work with the government to make it feasible.

Daybreak.ng previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari approved the re-appointment of Boss Mutapha as the secretary to the government of the federation.
