Nigerian megastar Burna Boy now leads the continent on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. **Notably**, he has become the Nigerian artist with the most entries on this prestigious chart.

Since soaring to global fame with his smash hit single “YE,” Burna Boy has established himself as one of Africa’s most successful superstars. His music has won numerous awards and filled landmark venues worldwide.

Recent Milestone

In another remarkable achievement, the Port Harcourt-born musician has set a new record for Nigerian artists on the Billboard Hot 100. His latest milestone comes from Coldplay’s “We Pray,” featuring Little Simz. This collaboration debuted at No. 87 on the chart for the week of October 19, 2024.

Burna Boy’s Chart Success

Now, Burna Boy boasts six Billboard entries. His highest-ranked entry is the hit single “Last Last,” which peaked at No. 44 and spent 19 weeks on the chart.

Other Nigerian Artists on the Chart

Following Burna Boy is Grammy winner Tems, who has five entries. Tems made history as the first Nigerian artist to debut atop the chart, thanks to her feature on Future’s “Wait For U.”

Wizkid ranks third among Nigerian artists with four entries. His collaboration with Drake, “One Dance,” made him the first Afrobeats artist to reach the summit of the Billboard Hot 100.

Additionally, Rema, CKay, Fireboy, Davido, and Lojay have all logged one entry each on the chart.

– Rema boasts Afrobeats’ highest-charting song with “Calm Down,” featuring Selena Gomez, which reached No. 3.
– CKay’s “Love Nwantiti” peaked at No. 26, enjoying a decent run on the chart.
– Fireboy’s “Peru” remix featuring Ed Sheeran peaked at No. 54.
– Meanwhile, Davido and Lojay appeared on the chart through Chris Brown’s “Sensational,” which reached No. 94.
