Champion Breweries Launches Beverages in Canned Formats

Champion Breweries Plc. has unveiled its flagship beverages, Champion Lager Beer and Champ Malta, in non-returnable cans, marking a historic milestone in the company’s 50-year legacy. This move represents the first time the homegrown brand has adopted the CAN format, signaling a new chapter in its journey of innovation and growth.

The announcement, made yesterday in Uyo, highlights Champion Breweries’ commitment to meeting growing consumer demand for convenience, portability, and on-the-go refreshment. The new packaging aligns with evolving market trends while reinforcing Champion Breweries’ status as a proudly Nigerian brand.

The cans will initially be distributed across strategic markets, with plans for further expansion to other regions.

Dr. Inalegwu Adoga, Managing Director/CEO of Champion Breweries Plc., expressed his excitement over the development:

Mr. Anthony Osagwu, Head of Sales and Commercial Excellence, described the launch as a strategic step in the company’s growth plan.

This launch allows us to penetrate new market segments and expand our reach beyond the South-South and South-East regions.”
