Court Grants Jude Okoye ₦100M Bail Amid Money Laundering Allegations

By Abigail Philip David

A Lagos State Magistrate Court has granted Jude Okoye, former manager of the defunct P-Square music duo, ₦100 million bail amid ongoing money laundering charges.

Jude Okoye was recently arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged financial offenses involving $1 million, ₦1.38 billion, and €34,537.59.

In a ruling presided over by Justice Alexander Owoeye, the court granted Okoye bail on the condition that he provides two sureties, each worth ₦100 million, and barred him from leaving the country.

Following the court’s decision, a video clip surfaced online showing Okoye stepping out of the courthouse.

The development has sparked discussions on social media, with many netizens calling for a reconciliation among Jude, Peter, and Paul Okoye, who have had a long-standing rift.
