The state, is now the highest affected state so far with the outbreak of the dreaded Corona Virus in the whole of the north east zone of Nigeria.

Despite the efforts by the Taraba state Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku’s administration for allocating Covid-19 Responsive Expenditure to 12.60 percent of the total revised budget, which Covid19 has taken N22,231,687,513.00 expenditure cut across sectors bordering on crisis, Recovery, Mitigation, livelihood and palliatives.

Investigation by our correspondent revealed that Taraba state government recently received other FAAC transfer Covid-19 palliative grant worth N1,250,000,000.00. only to secure two isolation center in Jalingo without manpower staff.

It could be recalled that recently 134 travellers who were intercepted and quarantined were discharged from the isolation center before their results came back and seven of them were tested positive for covid-19.
