Covid19 Vaccination: Gov. Sule, Dr. Akabe, takes the jab, demands compliance from front line workers

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and his deputy, Dr Emmanuel Akabe today takes the jab by  receiving their first dose of  COVID-19 vaccine.
Speaking after being vaccinated, Wednesday in Lafia, Sule said the vaccine is very safe, hence receiving it on camera to disabuse the minds of those still doubting it’s efficacy.
The governor called on members of the public, especially Front line workers to avail themselves for this opportunity and be vaccinated.
“All commissioners, traditional rulers, religion leaders as well as staff of the government house who come in contact with a lot of people daily and take the vaccine,” governor Sule added.
The governor is also calling  on the people of the state to take the vaccine as it is safe, since himself, his deputy and other politicians have taken their first doses of the vaccines.
He therefore expressed gratitude to President Muhammad Buhari, the Presidential Taskforce on COVID19, and the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency for all the efforts they have put to ensure Nasarawa state get the vaccines.
Also speaking after taking his jab, Dr Emmanuel Akabe who earlier inspected the covid19 vaccine express happiness saying the state took delivery of 61,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines from the federal government.
The deputy governor further explained that the current batch of the vaccine would be valid until July, 2021, adding that those who were vaccinated would get a booster dose after twelve weeks.
On his part, Mohammed Adis, Executive Chairman of the state’s Primary Healthcare Development Agency also disclosed that
adequate preparation had already been made, personnel’s were also trained for a successful vaccination exercise.
