Dangote truck kills 11 and many injured along Nasarawa Eggon/ Akwanga Road.

At least eleven persons have been confirmed dead after a heavily-loaded Dangote Cement truck lost control and ran into a vehicle along Nasarawa Eggon-Akwanga road.

Eyewitnesses report that all the 11 passengers in the vehicle, including the driver, were killed in the incident

Scores of others reportedly sustained various degrees of injuries along Nasarawa Eggon-Akwanga road.

According to sources who spoke to day break news, other vehicles also ran into the accident scene, which caused some of their passengers to sustain injuries.

The accident happened on a hill popularly called, “Many have gone.”

It is understood that the Federal Road Safety Corps, Army and the police have been assisting in the rescue operation.

The Nasarawa State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr. Ismaila Kugu, confirmed the accident  in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.
