Death Sentence for Zamfara Man Who Killed Friend Over N100

By   Milcah   Tanimu

In a tragic case from Zamfara State, a man named Anas Dahiru has been sentenced to death by hanging by the Zamfara State High Court for the murder of his friend over a sum of N100.

The incident, dating back to June 2017, involved Dahiru allegedly stabbing his friend, Shamu Ibrahim, to death. The court, presided over by Justice Mukhtar Yusha’u, delivered the judgment after considering evidence from both sides. Justice Yusha’u cited Section 221 of the Penal Code, stating that Dahiru’s conviction warranted the death penalty for the crime of killing his friend over a relatively small amount of money.
