Delta Governor Oborevwori Denies Defection Rumours to APC

By  Milcah   Tanimu

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has officially dismissed circulating rumours claiming he plans to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The clarification came through a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.

Ahon described these rumours as “unfounded and fabricated,” attributing them to opposition elements within the state. According to Ahon, these factions are reportedly threatened by Governor Oborevwori’s rising popularity and his inclusive approach to governance across party lines.

The Governor’s spokesperson reiterated that Oborevwori remains committed to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and enjoys widespread support from Deltans. He also reassured the public that the Governor’s focus remains on fulfilling his MORE Agenda, which he promised to deliver during his campaign.

Residents of Delta State are urged to disregard the false rumours, which Ahon attributes to mischief makers seeking to stir division.
