Demise of Journalist: Kaduna Speaker Send High Power Delegation To NUJ, Freedom FM

Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly and Chairman Northern Speakers Forum Hon Yusuf Zailani Wednesday sent a high-powered delegation to Nigeria Union of Journalist, Kaduna state Secretariat to commiserate with the council over the demise of veteran journalist, Suleiman Yakubu of Freedom FM Kaduna.


The delegation was led by the senior Special Advicer on Political, Hon Samaila Shuaibu Sabon Birni, Senior Special Adviser on Community Relations to the Speaker, Hon Kabir Yusuf, Special Advicer on Media and Publicity, Hon.Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani respectively.
They were received by the Vice Chairman of the Council, Comrade Sabiu Muhammad and the Secretary, John Femi Adi.Speaking on behalf of Speaker Zailani, Hon. Samaila Shuaibu Sabon Birni said, the Speaker was deeply saddened over the death of the veteran journalist and came to condole the Council over the demise .He prayed that God Almighty would comfort the leadership of the Council and the family of the late journalist .


Responding, Comrade Sabiu Muhammad thanked the Speaker for the condolence visit and noted with gratitude how the speaker had earlier issued  a press release over the unfortunate demise .


“We are indeed grateful to the Speaker for show of love and concern .”On behalf of the Chairman of NUJ Kaduna Council and the entire journalists and media practitioners, i say a big thank you to the Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly and the state government, Comrade Sabiu said 


From the NUJ Secretariat the delegation visited Freedom FM where they received by the Management of the Radio Station .
The Speaker further expressed his condolence over the death of the journalist and pray that the Almighty to grant the staff of the Radio station the fortitude to bearer this great loss .
