Diddy’s Mother Defends Him Against Sex Trafficking Allegations

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Janice Combs, the mother of American rapper Diddy, has spoken out following his arrest for sex trafficking and racketeering, asserting that her son is not the monster the media has portrayed. In a statement released through her lawyer, Natlie G. Figger, Janice emphasized that everyone makes mistakes and that Diddy has been judged unfairly based on false narratives.

“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies,” Janice stated. She acknowledged that Diddy may not have always been entirely truthful about past incidents, referring to evidence of violence against an ex-girlfriend that contradicts his denials.

Janice expressed concern about how closely the truth and lies can become intertwined, making it difficult to confront complex realities. She pointed to Diddy’s past relationship with ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, which she claims was marked by abuse. Although Diddy has denied these allegations, old footage revealing instances of abuse has emerged, complicating his defense.

In her statement, Janice speculated that Diddy’s civil legal team chose to settle the lawsuit filed by Ventura rather than contest it, a move that federal authorities interpreted as an admission of guilt. “It is agonizing to watch the world turn against my son so quickly over lies,” she remarked.

Diddy was arrested on September 17, 2024, at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan. Following his arrest, he was briefly placed on suicide watch and later allowed family visits.
