Don’t do these 4 things immediately after eating

Here are four things you should not do immediately after eating food:

1. Do not drink cold water

Drinking cold water immediately after eating will cause food to clump together making it hard for digestion to take place. Warm water is recommended.

2. Do not go directly to sleep

Laying down to sleep immediately after meals cause a lot of pressure to the diaphragm and can cause sleep apnea or strange snoring. Also, stomach acids may flow back into the oesophagus causing burns in its inner layer

3. Do not work out

Working out immediately after meals disrupt the digestive process and can cause vomiting or stomach puffiness.

4. Smoking

Smoking immediately after meals can lead to irritable bowel syndrome and is also linked to ulcerative colitis.
