The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, has called for peaceful coexistence, unity, and mutual respect among Nigerians as Muslims mark Eid-el-Fitr.In a statement issued on Friday by his spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, Falgore congratulated the Muslim community and urged citizens to uphold the values of compassion, tolerance, and support for the less privileged, as observed during Ramadan. He said fostering mutual respect remains essential for peace, stability, and national development, particularly as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.
Falgore also highlighted the role of the Kano State House of Assembly in promoting development, stating that lawmakers remain committed to enacting legislation aimed at improving living standards across the state. “I am convinced that the Assembly is working to deliver inclusive and impactful laws that support sustainable growth, job creation, and shared prosperity,” he said.
The Speaker reaffirmed the Assembly’s support for the state government led by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, noting efforts to maintain an inclusive environment for residents regardless of religious or ethnic background. He wished Muslims a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration and prayed for continued progress and stability in Kano State.
