Eid-el-Kabir: Zazzau Emirate disallows mat sharing at praying ground

The Zazzau Emirate Council has cancelled the traditional Sallah festivities and also disallowed mat sharing on the eid prayer ground in line with the COVID-19 prevention protocols.

The Assistant Secretary, Zazzau Emirate Council, Malam Umar Shehu-Idris, made this known while briefing newsmen on Thursday in Zaria.

He said eid prayers would be conducted throughout the council and urged people to adhere to social distancing, use of face mask and hand sanitiser while coming to the prayer ground.

“Bring your own mats, carpet to the prayer ground as sharing will not be tolerated because of the Coronavirus pandemic,” the Emirate official said.

The Emirate also warned those playing with motorcycles during the festive period to desist from such act.

He prayed for a peaceful and a hitch-free Sallah Celebration in Zazzau Emirate and the nation at large. (NAN)
