As an aftermath of  the #EndSARS protests which occurred in most parts of the country hoodlums  had used the opportunity  to cart  drugs and chemicals  from the NAFDAC  warehouse in Kaduna at Narayi Area of Chikun LGA.

The Director  General of the National Agency for  Food and Drug Administration  and Control,  NAFDAC,  Professor Moji Adeyeye who  alerted the Governor Nasir El- Rufai about the dastardly act,  expressed shock about the looting and mindless destruction of NAFDAC property  by the hoodlums. According to report reaching  Daybreak  items carted away include expired  prohibited and dangerous  drugs, as the DG warns that anyone who consumes such drugs are at the risk of ill health and death.

Adeyeye said that concerted efforts are in place  to brief up security around NAFDAC facilities  nation wide to forestall reoccurrence.
Meanwhile Commissioner for Internal Security for Home Affairs,  Samuel Aruwan on behalf of the Kaduna State Government  has warned the public and residents of the state to be vigilant  and about the source of food and medications  they consume and where they buy them from to avoid these dangers.
The management of a food processing company whose stores were looted in Kakuri has also disclosed that the stolen grains have been treated with chemical preservatives which render them unsafe for consumption.

The Kaduna State Government has  appealed to the public for information on the identities of the looters and where they might have hidden the stolen items.
