The so called suspension of APC National Chairman, His Excellency Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR is nothing but political propaganda and dirty politics emanating from NNPP led government in Kano State, they have failed to deliver good governance to the people of Kano State.

For months the state is suffering from scarcity of tap water, insecurity, lack of hospital equipments, poor sanitations and all the major roads are dilapidating due to bad governance.

I believe the government of Abba Kabir Yusif is behind these campaign of calumny on the APC National Chairman, His Excellency, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR.

Last two weeks the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusif inaugurated committees to find out the activities of the past administration in the state from 2015 to 2019 and not including the tenures of Former Governors Engr, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau.

Indeed these have portrayed the government colossal failures and inability to deliver good governance in Kano State. Democracy is guided by rules and regulations, procedures are followed based on party’s constitution to suspend a member of a party from the ward, State or National Level.

All Progressives Congress, APC, has a laid down procedures and the party constitution guides all the party stakeholders right from the wards, local governments, states and national level.

The moves by some ward party members without following party guidelines and constitution is null and void. It is clear that the procedure used by the purported party’s ward stakeholders to suspend the National Chairman of APC, His Excellency, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR was mired by irregularities, wrongful, and a clear breach of the Party Constitution and above all a flagrant abuse of democracy in Nigeria.

Most importantly, there was no consultation with relevant leaders of the party at the State, Senatorial District, Local Government Areas, and Wards levels across the length and breadth of the State. This is unfair and undemocratic by any stretch of imagination.

The APC Constitution (2013) (as amended) provides that the tenure of every elected member of the National, States, Local Government Area, and Ward executives is four years from the date of their election.

Article 17 (v) of the constitution, clearly stated that such moves must be ratified by the National Convention or Congress before an officer is relieved or suspended of his post at any time, especially if a vote of no confidence was passed on him by two-thirds of members of the relevant Party Organ.

The State Executive Committee of the Party by 2/3 majority has not passed a vote of no confidence on the APC National Party Chairman, His Excellency, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR at any time.

Article 21 of the party constitution gives power to discipline party members even then the power shall be exercised by the respective Executive Committee of the Party.

The APC National Chairman, His Excellency , Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was never subjected to any disciplinary proceeding to afford him the right of fair hearing, I see such moves as bastardization of democracy, politics of bitterness and vengeance designed and implemented by enemies and political opponents of the APC in Kano State.

APC is a democratic party, its business must be democratically conducted at all times and rules are established by the party’s constitution.

Governor Abba must wake up from his slumber and understand that by next month, May 29 2024, he will be one year in office, while his fellow governors from the neighboring states of Katsina and Jigawa are doing excellently well, providing good leadership empowering their people, building roads and hospitals, providing tap water etc, but Governor Abba is still playing the old dirty politics of bitterness of yester-years at the expense of the people of kano state,
