EPL: Wolves Sack Manager Vitor Pereira After Heavy Defeat at Fulham

Wolverhampton Wanderers have sacked manager Vitor Pereira following the club’s 3-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

The loss extended Wolves’ dismal run of form, leaving them without a single victory after 10 Premier League matches this season.

In an official statement released on Sunday, the club confirmed Pereira’s dismissal, bringing an abrupt end to his tenure just 45 days after signing a new three-year contract.

The defeat to Fulham came only days after Wolves’ 4-3 Carabao Cup exit to Chelsea, further intensifying pressure on the Portuguese manager.

Wolves currently sit eight points adrift of safety, having collected just two points so far — the lowest tally across all four divisions of English professional football.

Pereira’s stint at Molineux has been marred by inconsistency and a lack of cutting edge in front of goal, with the side managing just six goals in ten league games.

The club is expected to announce an interim manager in the coming days as they begin the search for Pereira’s replacement.
