Falgore Pledges Greater Commitment To Public Hearings.

By Jabiru Hassan.

The Kano State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Speaker, has reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to legislative duties and its openness to public hearings for the people of Kano State.

In a statement released by spokesperson Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai on Wednesday, Falgore emphasized that the Kano Assembly is ready to receive inputs from public hearings to further uphold the constitutional rights of its citizens.

Falgore also stated that the 10th Assembly, as the legislative arm, is elevating its oversight functions over state departments and agencies to a higher level, demonstrating its determination to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities.

While responding to questions during an interactive interview with NTA, Falgore highlighted that the Assembly has passed 40 legislative bills in less than two years—more than any other state across Nigeria.

In addressing youth and women, Falgore urged the teeming youth to remain dedicated, patient, disciplined, and focused, while embodying the spirit of honesty.

He encouraged them to harness their potential, particularly in business and politics, as the sky is the limit.

Commenting on the relationship with the Executive, Falgore stressed that honesty and commitment are key to fostering positive working relationships with the Executive arm. He pledged that Honourable members would remain dedicated and cooperative with the Kano State Government.

“The Kano State House of Assembly is working tirelessly to provide quality legislation in the interest of Kano citizens, not for personal gain,” Falgore stated.
