FG commiserates with Jigawa people over petrol tanker explosion

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has commiserated with the Jigawa State governor, Mallam Omar Namadi, and families of victims who lost their lives in the recent petrol tanker explosion which occurred at Majiya Town, Taura Local Government Area.

The petrol explosion claimed over 100 lives and injured dozens.

The Ministry expressed its deepest condolences caused by the tragic incident and prayed for the repose of the souls of the dead.
In a statement, signed by the Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations,Iliya Rhoda Ishaku, the ministry expressed shock over the tragic incident and prays that Allah grant Alijanna Firdaus for the souls of the departed and quick recovery for the injured.

The Ministry also prays that God grants the families of the victims the fortitude to bear the loss and that such traumatic incident shall never happen again in the State or anywhere in the country.

Meanwhile, the Ministry said that it is liaising with all relevant stakeholders to address the Humanitarian crisis linked to the devastating incident.
