FG Empowers Farmers With Grinding machines to Enhance their Living standard

The federal government on Tuesday in Lokoja presented 15 grinding machines to farmers from the three senatorial districts in Kogi state to boost their livelihood.

The presentation was done through the Kogi State Agricultural Development Project by the representative of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in the Department of Rural Development, Alhaji Halilu Biringina Kulani in Lokoja.

The beneficiaries of the Agriculture input were drawn from the three Senatorial Districts of the state.

Presenting the grinding mechines to the beneficiaries, the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture from Abuja, Alhaji Halilu Biringina Kolani said the present administration under President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Agriculture would continue to lived up to expectations by providing necessary Agriculture inputs to farmers to boost Agriculture production .

Alhaji Kolani urged beneficiaries of the grinding machines to put them into proper use to enable the government do more for the citizens.

He reiterated the commitment of Federal Government to ensure food security to make lives more meaningful to the people in the country.

In a remark, the Managing Director Agricultural Development Project, Mr Bello Ogirima advised the beneficiaries to protect the machines from Vandals given to them by the Federal Government.

Mr Ogirima said the government at both state and federal levels would not leave any stone unturned in encouraging farmers to boost food production in the state, and commended Governor Yahaya Bello for ensuring food security most exspecially in the production of Rice, Cassava, Yams, Cashew among others in the state.

Speaking onbehalf of the beneficiary, Madam Awal Abdulkadir thanked the state and federal governments for empowering Farmers and promised to utilise the machine for purpose intended.
