FG Takes Action Against Illegal Loan Apps: 37 Delisted

By   Milcah  Tanimu

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has reported a significant increase in the number of delisted illegal loan apps, which has risen from nine to 37, according to their latest report. Simultaneously, the number of fully approved loan apps has grown from 154 to 164, while loan apps with conditional approval have decreased from 40 to 38. The number of apps on the FCCPC’s watchlist has also increased from 20 to 56. This development follows the FCCPC’s continued efforts to regulate the digital money lending space due to reported harassment of Nigerians by these lenders.
