FIRS Begins Tax Officer Recruitment from November 2

The Federal  Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) is set to open its application portal on November 2 for tax officer recruitment, specifically for Officer I and Officer II positions. The agency seeks qualified applicants across eight states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo.

Applicants must be 27 years or younger by December 31, 2024, and have completed the NYSC program by the end of 2021. A Bachelor’s degree or HND with a First or Second Class Upper in fields like Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or Law is required, while master’s degrees and professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA) are advantageous.

Interested candidates should apply at [firs.gov.ng/careers](http://firs.gov.ng/careers) by November 14. The FIRS encourages diversity and cautions applicants against fraudulent websites, noting that shortlisted candidates will undergo assessments including aptitude tests and interviews.
