…..promised to employ services of two volunteer female teachers

Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education board Alhaji Altine Shehu Kajiji made the reminder today when he visited Haliru Rijiya Model Primary School Gwuiwa in continuation of his unscheduled tour of schools under the board.

According to him difficult subjects such as English, Mathematics and science are normally being thought during the periods because it is expected that the brain of pupils is fresh and cool at that time thereby making them to understand the subjects clearly.

Alhaji Altine Shehu opined that in view of this, the need for teachers to be reporting to schools at the appointed time for them to deliver as expected is important.

He appreciated the turn out of both teachers and pupils of the school and called on the SBMC and PTA of the school to mobilize parents on the importance of sending their children to school at the appointed time.

The UBEB chairman however lamented the attitude of some parents in the area who deliberately denied their wards from going to school on Fridays noting that children are expected to be attending school from Monday to Friday.

While expressing the commitment of the board to effecting minor repairs he noticed in the school, kajiji promised to employ two female volunteer teachers met in the school, Maryam Isah and Rukayya Musa for the period of ten month within which they would be paid twenty thousand naira monthly.
