Four dead, village razed in Southern Kaduna

Four persons have been reported killed as gunmen razed Sabon Kaura village of Atyap chiefdom in Zangon Kataf council of Kaduna State.

Police spokesman Mohammed Jalige was yet to issue a statement on the development but a local source confirmed the incident, blaming it on militiamen who “virtually burnt all the houses in the village”.

“The suspected Fulani militias came in their hundreds and carried out their plan. For now four persons have been confirmed killed while many are missing. l cannot confirm those injured.”

“The entire village is in total confusion; there were only five security personnel present when the attackers invaded the area and, therefore, they could not contain them,” he said.
