The Janaza (funeral) prayers for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, close associates of boxing star Anthony Joshua, will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in London.
The prayer service is scheduled to begin at 10am at the London Central Mosque, located at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.
A statement announcing the funeral, shared on Saturday by Boxing King Media, confirmed that the bodies of Ghami and Latif, popularly known as “Latz,” have been repatriated to the United Kingdom following the fatal road accident in Nigeria.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones,” the statement said.
Ghami and Ayodele died in a tragic road crash on Monday, December 29, 2025, on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State. The accident occurred when a Lexus SUV conveying Anthony Joshua collided with a stationary truck.
While the boxing champion survived the crash with minor injuries, his strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami, and personal trainer, Latif “Latz” Ayodele, died at the scene.
The funeral service in London is expected to bring together family members, friends and members of the boxing community to pay their final respects to the deceased.
