Funke Akindele Responds to Fan’s Request for More Children

By  Milcah   Tanimu

Nigerian actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele recently responded to a fan who urged her to have more children, specifically suggesting that her twin sons need a sibling.

In a now-viral clip from her Snapchat, the fan, identified as Remmy, told Akindele, “The twins need a new brother/sister.” The actress, who already has two children—a set of twins—found the comment amusing and jokingly replied that it was Remmy who would be responsible for the new baby.

“Don’t worry, I have registered your name and I will find your address. It is you that would carry the baby and be doing, ‘baby, baby don’t cry’ and back the baby,” Akindele quipped, blowing the camera a kiss as she responded light-heartedly.

While the actress’s reply was well-received by some followers, many social media users weighed in, advising others to mind their own business when it comes to people’s personal lives. Comments flooded in emphasizing the importance of respecting boundaries and not making assumptions about others’ family planning.

A few responses also highlighted the need for self-control and patience, with some stating that carrying a pregnancy and raising children is no simple task. Others expressed admiration for Akindele’s ability to handle online criticism with humor and grace, distinguishing her from other celebrities who might react differently to such intrusive comments.
