Gada/Goronyo Federal Lawmaker Donates ₦5m to Ulamas for Ramadan Enlightenment

The Member representing Gada/Goronyo Federal Constituency, Comrade Bashir Gorau, has donated ₦5 million to Ulamas in Gada Local Government ahead of the forthcoming Ramadan enlightenment programs.

Presenting the donation through his representative, Dr. Almustapha Muhammad Gada, Comrade Gorau reaffirmed his commitment to supporting religious leaders, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan.

In their remarks, Malam Nasiru Sageera and former Chairman of Goronyo Local Government, Abdulwahab Yahaya Goronyo, commended the role of Ulamas in enlightening society. They stressed the importance of preserving cultural and religious values, especially at a time when many youths are adopting Western influences over indigenous traditions.

The benefiting Ulamas expressed gratitude for the assistance and pledged to use the support to enhance their efforts in educating the public during Ramadan.

Also speaking at the event, the PDP Chairman of Gada, Alhaji Aminu Yakubu, called for prayers for lasting peace in the area.
