Gov. Aliyu Assents to 2025 Appropriation Bill, Pledges More Development Projects

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill into law, pledging to deliver more people-centered projects and sustain the dividends of democracy across the state.

Reflecting on the implementation of the 2024 budget, Gov. Aliyu described it as a “success story” and reiterated his administration’s commitment to executing impactful developmental initiatives.

“In the outgoing year, we succeeded in implementing numerous projects that positively impacted the lives of our people. In sha Allah, we will continue to deliver more dividends of democracy to their doorsteps,” the governor affirmed.

He also emphasized his administration’s dedication to tackling banditry and other security challenges in Sokoto State, reassuring residents of continued efforts to enhance safety and security.

Gov. Aliyu expressed gratitude to the Sokoto State House of Assembly for the swift passage of the appropriation bill, acknowledging their commitment to the welfare of the electorate. He also thanked the people of the state for their unwavering prayers and support for his administration.

Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Tukur Bala Bodinga, highlighted the legislature’s rigorous review of the budget, ensuring it aligns with the aspirations of the people. He commended the governor for delivering tangible dividends of democracy and pledged continued legislative support for transformative policies and programs.

The 2025 budget is expected to drive development across key sectors, further advancing the governor’s vision of a prosperous and secure Sokoto State.
