Gov. Ishaku Charges Clergy to be responsible.

The Taraba state Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku has charged Vice President of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Taraba state Chapter, Calem Ahima to be proactive in the discharge of his responsibility.

Governor Ishaku made the remarks during the dedication and twentieth anniversary of the Christian Reformed Church Nigeria, CRCN, GU haske ATC Jalingo.

Ishaku said religious leaders need to speak out in view of the problems facing the Nation stressing that democratic principles are threatened under the present regime which is unhealthy for the future generation.

Also speaking In his sermon, the Christian Association Of Nigeria Vice President Caleb Ahima who also doubled as CRCN and TEKAN President encouraged believers to always stand firm amidst myriads challenges facing the society.

The vice President charged the congregation to be wary of people who always talk in the negative challenging them not to give up because God has program for every one.

Ahima urged members of the Church to commit themselves to God to be true Christians saying magnificent edifice in places of worship would make no meaning if the ways of the people is not right with God.

The CAN Vice President thanked Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku and all those that stood by him during the previous CAN election and promised not to bring shame to the state and the Church of Christ in his service to CAN.

Earlier, Resident Pastor of the CRCN GU Haske ATC Isaiah Magaji Jirapye said the Church was established as a local Church consistory for the past twenty years which was officially dedicated according to the laws of the CRCN.

He appreciated the efforts of past pastors,elders and leadership of the CRCN that has worked relentless towards the growth of the Church.

CRCN Gu Haske ATC was established on eleventh of July,Nineteen ninety three,with ninety members during it’s first fellowship.
