Gov Mutfwang lauds FG’s economic policies aimed at cushioning hardship

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has commended the political commitment demonstrated by President Bola Tinubu for his efforts towards tackling poverty and securing of lives and property of Nigerians.

Mutfwang also applauded the federal government for having the people of the country at heart irrespective of political parties, religion, religion or ethnic affiliation.

He made this known while speaking during the supervision and distribution of palliatives in Mikang local government area.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary Plateau State Emergency Management Agency Caesar Ashom Azi, commended the President Ahmed Bola Tinibu led federal government for giving palliatives to the local governments through the state government stressing that it will go a long way in reducing the hardship being faced by the people of the country.

Governor Mutfwang also explained that the palliative will be giving to the vulnerable people as well as the internally displaced persons who were displaced from their places of abode following an out break of violence at Ponglong village in the Mwontoll district of the local government some months ago.

Items distributed includes four hundred and ninety eight bags of maize, one hundred and thirty eight bags of millets, and three hundred and eighty four bags of sorghums all coming from the federal government, while one thousand one hundred and two bags of rice were provided by Governor Caleb Mutfwang.

Our correspondent reports that the distribution of the palliative were monitored and supervised by the representatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC led by Bashar Ahmed as well as the representatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission ICPC led by Bako Titus.

The palliatives were shared among the four districts of Mikang local government area, with all the paramount rulers of each districts were present during the symbolic presentation.

Transition Committee Chairman of Mikang local government council Daniel Kungmi assured that as a council the palliatives will be giving to all vulnerable persons irrespective of political parties.

He cautioned against selling the grains warning that any of the pallatives seen been sold,the sellers and buyers will be arrested no matter how highly placed they are .

Kungmi disclosed that the sharing committee of the palliative was constituted by the council for the equitable distribution of the items stressing that he has confident on the committee members who can Carry out the job without bias.

Earlier,in an address the Director of Social Services of the Council Prince Pilgani ,commended the committee members for finding time despite their tide schedule and applauded them for the cordial working relationship.
