Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, has felicitated with the people of the state in his Christmas message, urging unity, compassion, and resilience as the year draws to a close.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Lokoja, Governor Ododo extended his heartfelt Christmas greetings to the citizens and their families.
“As we celebrate this season of joy, love, and hope, I extend my heartfelt Christmas greetings to you and your families. Christmas is a time to reflect on the boundless love of God, exemplified through the birth of Jesus Christ, whose life inspires us to embrace compassion, generosity, and unity,” he said.
The governor emphasized the season’s reminder of the values that bind the community together, such as peace, tolerance, and resilience.
“Let us use this time to show kindness to one another, especially to those in need, and to strengthen the bonds of love and friendship within our families and neighborhoods,” Governor Ododo said.
Looking ahead to the new year, the governor reaffirmed his commitment to the growth and prosperity of Kogi State.
“Together, we will continue to build a Kogi State where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully to our collective progress,” he added.
He prayed that the joy of Christmas would fill the hearts and homes of the people, bringing renewed hope, good health, and abundant blessings.
“Merry Christmas, and may Kogi State and Nigeria experience peace and prosperity in the coming year,” he concluded.
