Gov Ododo Sacks Ofu LGA Transition chairman For Corruption in Kogi

Barely few weeks of transition  Chairmen ‘s appointment for the 21 local councils in the state, the Kogi State Governor,  Ahmed Usman Ododo on Monday in Lokoja ordered the immediate removal of Hon. Hassan Atawodi as the Transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs Folashade Ayoade on Monday in Lokoja.

In the same vein, Governor Ododo approved the appointment of Musa Muhammed Lawal as the Transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Area with immediate effect.

The statement however directed Hassan Atawodi to submit all Government property in his possession to the new Transition Chairman.

The statement also, directed Hassan Atawodi to handover all the affairs of the Council and submit handing-over note to the new Transition Chairman immediately.

The removal was in line with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s zero tolerance to any form of corruption in his administration.
