Gov. Sule Distributes Tractors, Vehicles, Motorcycles to Boost Security, Government Operations in Nasarawa

By Leo Zwànke, Lafia

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi A. Sule has distributed 30 tractors, operational vehicles, and motorcycles to Local Government Areas (LGAs) and various State and Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). The distribution took place on Wednesday at the Government House in Lafia, marking a significant step toward enhancing grassroots development and improving government operations.

Governor Sule emphasized the importance of well-equipped local governments and MDAs to effectively fulfill their duties. “This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen government functions at all levels. By providing these essential tools, we aim to enhance service delivery across the state,” he stated during the ceremony.

In addition to improving governance, the Governor highlighted the security advantages of the initiative. The operational vehicles and motorcycles are expected to support security personnel in improving coverage and responding more swiftly to security threats, especially in rural and remote areas. “Enhancing security across Nasarawa is a top priority, and these vehicles will aid in patrols and reduce response times,” he added.

Governor Sule also called on the beneficiaries to use the equipment responsibly, emphasizing accountability. “These resources were acquired with taxpayer funds, and we expect their proper and transparent deployment in service to the people of Nasarawa,” he concluded.
